My aesthetician uses Mermaid Wax and it's great! I was happy to see that it was available for home use as well so I could do touch ups in between treatments. I've tried several other at home hard waxes and they don't come close to Mermaid Wax in quality and flexibility.

I have suffered with in grown hairs and strawberry legs my whole life. I am 20 years old and covered in scars and bumps from constantly shaving all the in grown hairs. I get razor burn horrible and over all the skin on my body is very sensitive to razors and most waxs. I didn't want to spend this much on wax I'll be honest. But my mom just said let's try it and last restort would be saving up for Lazer. When I tell you it takes all the hair. I mean...ALL THE HAIR. 2 STRIPS IN MY ARMPITS. With other waxes it would take up to 7 or 8 strips. It would leave me bleeding and sore for days after. Mermaid is sooo different. Just ripped the hair with no skin. Left me silky smooth. Yes is still hurts ripping out hairs but NOTHING like losing layers of skin and left sore for days after. I was amazed how well it worked. Yes it did miss a few hairs. But honestly I think that's because of a first time user. And my hairs grow in all crazy directions so I can't blame the wax for that. The night after I used it I recommended it to my sisters who suffer the same in growns I do. And cannot wait for them to try it!
It doesn't rip the skin, gets all the hairs when pulled in the right direction. Doesn't BREAK when I try and rip it. It stays soft and silky instead of stiffening to hard as a rock.
Honestly couldn't ask for a better wax. I cannot wait to use it again!

I’m an experienced home waxer and this product does not live up to the hype. I had been waxing with a different hard wax for years without issue but I thought I would try a new product that gets great reviews. I used this stuff 6 times now and doing all thing right and
I’m ending up with a large amount
Of broken hairs which is maddening. I didn’t have that with the other product I used. And because of COVID I’m stuck with a product that isn’t worth using and was expensive on top of that. I would say this isn’t for everyone. And if you have something you like and works well then don’t switch products.

Mermaid wax is so easy to use. Since the pandemic I started waxing myself and have used multiple waxes. None of them compare to the consistency, the ease, nor the timing. It goes on smooth and a little goes a long way. You have a forever customer until age catch up and I no longer need to wax .

I have waxed at home for over 20 years, when my mom showed me how. A couple years ago I decided to try hard wax, and started looking online. Found some of Kristen’s older videos before mermaid wax and watched a few till I got to the ones about Mermaid Wax. Watched all of those and knew I found my wax. I first tried waxing a little over a year ago. When I first started out I was using Starpil wax and it did the job but I felt like it kept leaving stuff behind. My husband mentioned maybe trying out a different brand of wax to see if it helped. I was aware of this wax before I started because I watched all of her tutorial videos on waxing and knew that I wanted to try it out.
So glad I did try it out! Not only does it do a better job but it for some reason is way less painful. At first I thought maybe I was breaking the hairs instead of pulling them out but it's pretty consistent and seems to be fine. I would definitely recommend this brand to anyone who is waxing, especially if you are waxing yourself at home.
If I had to give 1 con about it, it would be that this wax does seem stringy when I'm applying it but it could be user error since I am still "new" to this waxing thing.

I’ll be honest that after the shipping cost, I thought to myself “this better be some magical wax for what I’m paying” and I’m pleased to say that it is. This is literally the only wax I’ve used that didn’t make me give up after 5 min. It actually removes all the hair it comes into contact with, is flexible and doesn’t become brittle after 2 seconds. Application is smooth and works well consistently. I promised to myself that I was going to give waxing one last try by choosing to spend a little extra for better quality wax and I’m glad I did. I’m not by any means an expert and it did take me a very long time to wax everything I wanted to, in the end I’m happy with the results. I hate shaving because my hair grows back in one day.. I swear sometimes if feels like it grows back within the hour so I’m often walking around with hairy legs because I really don’t want to be shaving every day. Waxing lasts so much longer so I don’t have to worry about it for a long time and i don’t have to look like a Wookiee all the time. A+++
