  3. Send Professional License # in "notes" at checkout and email a copy of your license to sales@mermaidwax.com (students, send whatever you can to validate; id badge, school letterhead, etc)

Pandora, Mermaid Bombs, & Merch Orders

Purchases of Pandora's Box and/or Mermaid Concentrated Bombs (color, glitter, scent, skin) must include a commensurate amount of wax. Specifically: 5.5lb of wax per 2 bombs | 22lbs of wax per Pandora's Box. 

*Using too much concentrate (glitter, color, scent, skin) will degrade the performance of the wax, or worse yet, discolor/irritate skin.

We appreciate your patience & understanding; Mermaid Wax® is a hair removal wax company, not a salon supplies store.  Although we sell salon supplies that compliment our wax, we do not sell salon supplies to those that aren't purchasing wax, unfortunately.  This includes all "Create Your Own Wax" & Mermaid Merch products. Beware: Orders will be canceled and you will be charged 15% (merchant & processing fee) of the total order amount if you refuse to add hair removal wax. This applies to any order that does not include hair removal wax -or- has a less than commensurate amount of wax.

How To Buy Mermaid Wax

There's one big rule you should be aware of, all 3 must be the same:

  1. Name of account holder (login to your account)
  2. Name of card holder (you must be paying for the order, no using other's cards)
  3. Name of recipient (the items must ship to you)

What if my friend/family/business partner wants to buy me something?

Option 1:

They will create an account and login. They will navigate to Mermaid Wax Gift Cards.  They will share with you the info from the digital gift card which you can use when you login to your account and make a purchase.

Option 2:

They can give you money to place into your account and you can pay for the items with your card.

Unfortunately Mermaid Wax does not allow gift purchases unless you have them shipped to yourself and hand them to the recipient, no shipping directly to them.

What If I Already Made A Purchase With Someone's Card?

Your order will be flagged as "high risk" and you'll be sent an email requesting more information like this:

"Thanks for your order & support!

Our system flagged your order as high risk due to one or various elements related to you, your location, or your financial institution, your order, etc.

In order for us to process your order, we will require you to respond to this email with:

  1. A picture of the purchaser holding their government issued ID
  2. A screenshot from your bank account showing the charge related to your order.  Please cover any other personal/identifying information. ie we'll need to see the account's last 4 digits and the charge, but don't need to see other transactions, etc.
  3. A picture of your Professional License; ie Esthetics/Cosmo, Salon Operator, etc -as applicable
  4. Copy/paste this statement into your reply "I, [YOUR FULL NAME], understand that my Mermaid Wax items(s) in (#ORDERNUMBER) are non-refundable/non-returnable."

Although this process is cumbersome, it has 100% eliminated our fraud cases on first time orders over $500.

Additionally, we'll only ship large 1st time orders to the billing address. We won't be able to ship to an address that doesn't match the billing address of the card used."

If you cannot or will not provide this information you will be refunded less 15% passthrough fee. This is a partial pass-through fee to cover the costs Mermaid Wax is charged by our merchant provider as well as to cover our internal processing costs. This includes canceled orders for any reason whatsoever, including changing the credit card provided.

Large First Time Orders -High Risk
