A- Signature Series is our "best of the best" it is so easy to work with this is THE AT HOME WAX for you, no breaking! It also happens to be what more professional waxers use than another other wax! Why? The most senstive wax created to date. All colors of Signature Series are the same formulation, only difference is the color, we just wanted to give you options. (Sirena, Electra, Aurora and Hades) Signature Series is absolutely the best of the best when it comes to wax. It is Hypoallergenic and vegan friendly so it's made for sensitive skin. This wax is best for "lay lay lay" method; you can lay multiple strips at a time before going back and removing them without any fear of it breaking. Since it's SUPER elastic, you can also lay the strips incredibly thin and it still won't break. I've literally left a strip on my counter til the next day and it stretched 2x the length before it snapped. No shhh!!!

B- Pro Series is reserved for our professionals only! Even beginner professionals will find this wax more challenging to master than our Signature Series. - all colors of Pro Series are the same formulation, only difference is the color, we just wanted to give you options. (Poseidon, Medusa and Calypso) Pro Series is suitable for most skin types, but it is not hypoallergenic or vegan. This wax is best for "Strip & Rip" method; if you only lay one strip at a time and then remove it immediately. However, it will break if left on the skin for too long.

Use

Pour wax beads into a professional wax warmer.
Heat up the wax until the consistency is creamy such as honey or molasses (normally takes about 20-30 minutes depending on the size of warmer).
Test temperature of wax on the inside of your wrist.
Always use a new spatula for each application -NO DOUBLE DIPPING! Using the edge of a wax spatula, apply a thin layer of wax in the direction of the hair growth using smooth and firm pressure.
Wait a couple of seconds for the wax to cool. Stretch the skin tight during removal. Remove wax in one quick, swift motion parallel to the surface of the skin in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
Repeat as needed.

Note: Normally only one application is needed for each area. If necessary, a cleanup strip should remove any "stragglers" left behind. Rarely will you need to use a third application over the same area if you're using the wax properly. We have a variety of online training or email support@mermaidwax.com for more help.

Some neon waxes can get "burned." The uv brighteners & colorant will turn to clear if this wax is burned. Do not turn your pot all the way up and leave it! And I would not leave your warmer on overnight, ever. Definitely not with neon waxes. The wax itself will be perfectly fine, just clear.

I love my starter kit! I have used it twice, and each time my hair has come up with no problem, even better than when I go to a wax center. I only have to do one main strip followed by a clean-up strip. while my waxer usually does three or four. It is so easy to use, and the starter kit is the perfect size for in-home waxing. I bought it so I could wax my facial hair more frequently than my once every 4-week body regimen at the wax center. The wax works so well and is so easy, I plan to begin waxing other areas of my body, as well. I highly recommend Mermaid Wax.

Anyways I like the wax in an of itself but the warmer that came with never worked and when I mentioned I was told they were just getting rid of them cause they were so cheaply made. I like the wax. Never have I ever used hard wax before so this is my first time ever using it. I will definitely use it again. It took some getting used to being my first time waxing at home. I don’t care for the wax warmer that it came with because I kept having to turn it on and off just to keep the consistency of the wax where it should be along with the temperature. The heating element in it is not the best. Even just keeping it on low is too hot. Definitely recommend practicing on the mat before trying to wax yourself if you’ve never used hard wax before.

The wax is great. It glides on smoothly and easy to control, and most importantly GRIPS THAT HAIR. I don't feel the bundle is worth the value when you can buy 2lbs of wax for the same price and the only extras are a mat and warmer, that's my own mistake though. However, I am not satisfied with the warmer. It is WAY too hot, even on the lowest possible setting, my wax is so hot it turns to a water consistency. I ended up having to buy a new warmer because turning it off and on to maintain a good temp is super inconvenient.

I have previously purchased hard wax beads from Amazon. They didn’t stick to any of my eyebrow hairs properly. I was having to tweeze all my unwanted hair. I tried Mermaid wax and it got ALL the hairs, even my little blonde hairs. I highly recommend Mermaid Wax and this kit. The kit was well worth the money.

I love the wax but the warmer is not great. The knob does not line up with the on, off, heat level guide. My husband took the knob off to try to put it on where it will line up but the problem is the stem not the plastic knob. When it is oh high it points to off, when I put it on low it turns off, so it is hard to gauge the settings.

No skin irritation! East to use! I’ve been getting my eyebrows waxed for 20 years. I breakout and get some type of skin irritation every time. Not with Mermaid! So excited to have one of my own…I had to keep buggin my sister in law to wax me every time bc I’m DONE with razors!!! She recommended me this product from this business and hopefully I keep having a great extra keep purchasing…I love the stickers it comes with, and the glitter mermaid I’m obsessing over!! I got the light blue wax I forgot what it’s called but that mixed with the glitter is very pretty although you don’t need too much bc the wax is already pearly in color ❤️

I absolutely love the entire starter kit! The warmer works extremely well and heats up relatively quickly, free stickers were very sweet and personal touch! I really do like the starter kit. I would’ve liked if there was an instruction manual on waxing, especially with the starter kit. The YouTube videos are helpful but a little manual or booklet would’ve been a great added touch to the starter kit, especially since it is a starter kit.

This kit is not worth the price. The wax warmer turns off right after the mid mark so the wax is either hot or you have to keep turning it on and off to get the right consistency. I reached out to the company and was told the wax warmer is considered a “free gift” so you are paying $80 or like $60 with the discount for just the wax because they list the mat, gloves and sticks as a gift too. I didn’t realize the wax warmer would be that poor of quality so you are better off just buying the wax and get a higher quality warmer for the price of this kit. The wax is pretty good though but I’m sure I’ll really get the full affect once I get a good warmer. Just don’t waste your money on this kit and buy just the wax.

This is my 1st experience with a hard wax. Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. I’m used to working with strips. This wax is so smooth it glides on. Much more gentle on the skin. And it shimmers and glitters. What more could I want. I’m sorry I didn’t snap a photo.

It’s a great kit for those first starting out. The silicone mat is definitely one of my favorite things beside the wax of course. It helps keep things neat and organized. It’s also a great area to practice laying my strips. I love it lots.

Busy working mom who’s hair grows fast. I really don’t have time to go to the salon and get waxed as often as I need to. I really love this product for two reasons. No. 1, I’m not an expert at waxing so I find the Mermaid wax tutorials very helpful and supportive. She really taught me how to wax all of the areas I was interested. No. 2, it fuckin works. The warmer works really well and as long as I apply and remove the wax in the correct direction, it works. I haven’t even gone through the 1 lb bag it comes with it, and I’ve already used it twice: face, under arms, and bikini wax. I love Electra wax, and I can’t wait to try Sirena.

This wax starter kit is amazing. It like my own little salon. I feel so professional. I love the rubber mat! You can put your stick down that was just covered in wax and hit doesn’t stick to the mat! That blew my mind. The warmer has multiple settings and I always felt that it either got too hot or not hot enough so I had to constantly adjust the settings. Included in the set up is a bag with several sticks and gloves. Overall, The starter kit is the bees nees!

I’m a student so let me start there. I really like the consistency of the wax, the whole kit was great for the price point to be honest. It could be because I’m still learning but the Electra wax did seem to grab my hair like I thought. However, my friend has coarser hair and it snatched all of hers! I’d purchase Mermaid again, just maybe a different type.

The wax - gets 5 stars - the warmer 3. So I just did 4 - I LOVE THE WAX. Best I have ever used so far!!! So glad I stumbled across this brand!!! The warmer just doesn't stay a good temperature. It seems to either be to hot or not hot enough... if you put it on medium once it melts the machine just shuts off and my wax gets hard which is frustrating when I have a whole day of waxing clients.... I am saving for a larger warmer through y'all though so hopefully soon I can make that happen!
