Hey Mermaids, allow me to introduce you to my babies. Our 8 Great Dane adults & puppies are all males, ranging in age from barely 9 months to over 12 years old.
ps The "DisEnchanted Danes" name is a play off our new farm home we called "DisEnchanted Ranch." My husband's obsession with Halloween haunts me in more ways than you'll ever know.

If you'd like to see more of our danes, of course, I made them social pages 😁🐶
The Danes
We have Dozer (brindle, 12yrs), Zombie (harlequin, 6yrs), Beast (merle, 4yrs), Monster (fawn, 4yrs), Witcher (brindle merle, 9mos), Magic (lilac brindle, 9mos), Ghost (blue, almost 9mos), and Venom (blue brindle, almost 9mos).
Now You Know...
So, you're wondering where I've been for the past 8 months? A lot of my time has been spent caring for my fur babies! Great Danes grow so fast so I soaked up every moment with my boys while they were still on the smaller side. I've also been cooking a lot (because who wants to eat the same kibble every day) and cleaning (the amount of dog hair is next level with 8 of these guys). Can you tell we don't have kids? 🤣🤣 Oh, that roll of paper towels that used to be on the counter? It has now been turned into a full blown confetti party in your living room. Phone cord you had plugged in by your bed? Not anymore, it's gone... and in pieces. Left a bag of cookies on the table? Hope you enjoyed them while you could, because one of the dogs definitely did. All jokes aside (not really, these are all things that have happened), they are bringing us so much joy, love, laughs and entertainment. So, as much as I would apologize for my absence, I'm not sorry. I always told my family I wanted to be a zookeeper, so I'm really just living out my dream.
Why So Many Puppies?
We also know that adding puppies helps the older dogs live longer, happier lives. A year ago we lost Tank (black, 11 yrs old), though we originally thought we would lose him back in 2021. We got Beast and Monster right before we thought we would have to put Tank down because his back legs were failing him. But Beast and Monster helped give Tank renewed life (along with medication and his deep love for my husband), and he ended up living another 4 years. Once Tank passed, we knew we had to get more puppies (although 4 puppies was never our plan) since Dozer was a super senior and Zombie was now a senior dane. It has worked like a charm! Dozer is moving around more than ever and acting like a puppy all over again, even after a rattlesnake bit him 3 times in the face a month ago. Crazy, we know.
Meet The DisEnchanted Danes
DOZER
(just turned 12yrs old!)
Dozer (aka Dozer Dog) is and has always been the most handsome, smart, strong, agile, and extremely caring dog anyone could ever ask for. He's always aware of what's going on and ready to help. Dozer puts others before himself.
A truly understanding soul, especially when it means taking a backseat so we can cater to his brothers when they need more attention. He is also the BEST father and leader, and granddad, to all the puppies over the last 12 years.

ZOMBIE
(6yrs old)
Zombie (aka Zombino) is a very sweet and emotional dog. He pays attention to every little sound, detail, and smell of both us and all the other animals.
Zombie is the first to know when something is different or wrong. He was the one who discovered Dozer had been bitten by a rattlesnake. He’s super smart and the best role model to the group.

BEAST
(4.5yrs old)
Beast (aka Beasticles) is without a doubt the most loving dog we have and needs to be touched all the time, whether it be by one of his pup brothers or us.
The puppies chose Beast as their leader and he couldn’t be happier. While the other adults have mastered the art of saying, “Go bother someone else,” Beast has fully embraced his role as the neighborhood dad.
He is patient, gentle, protective, and always willing to entertain four puppies with endless energy. He's teaching them the ropes one wrestling match at a time and somehow never seems to lose his cool.

MONSTER
(4.5yrs old)
Monster (aka Monster-Balls) is a giant child trapped in an adult’s body. He has that big puppy energy and will always let you know when he is upset with you about something.
Monster loves to talk back to you. Even when he’s guilty, YOU'RE in trouble, not him. Monster makes us laugh every day and loves playing with the puppies now that they're big enough to hold their own.

WITCHER
(9 months)
Witcher (aka Witcherstein) is our biggest puppy at 160lbs already and will easily be 225lbs+ once full grown! Unfortunately, he’s also the “jumper” and has knocked over ever person he’s met.
Witcher is our goofiest Great Dane and is the life of the party. He’s the first one to wake up the other pups because he’s ready to play -at 2am😩 He LOVES water. We always know that if we turn on the hose or sprinklers, Witcher will be soaked in a heartbeat -having the time of his life.

MAGIC
(age)
Magic (aka Magical) is the smartest pup we have ever seen. Magic learned his name and “sit” within the first day of us getting him! (no shit 😲)
He is very protective and cautious around people he’s never met. However, once he knows you’re someone safe, he’ll be your best friend. Magic is extremely loyal and is already a great leader for his other brothers.

VENOM
(age)
Venom (aka Venomous) and Ghost are brothers, and definitely act like it! He is both our toughest puppy AND our most loving puppy.
Venom is the first bark (and bite) when, well basically when anything happens. We’ve learned this isn’t because he’s mean as much as because he wants ALL the attention. As soon as you start loving on him, he couldn’t be happier and sweeter.
Venom is very protective of his pack -he’s the first to investigate “danger.” His favorite thing is to “hug” your leg and have his face held/rubbed. Venom is truly a big baby with a tough exterior. 😉

GHOST
(age)
Ghost (aka Walrus) loves to play and is super silly. He is always bouncing around, looking to get into trouble! Anything stolen -it was Ghost.
He is our happiest puppy and never thinks he is in trouble (and he’s ALWAYS in trouble). If you yell at him for destroying something, he’ll just bounce around and think it’s a game. It’s so hilarious!
Ghost just loves life and you will never see him without something in his mouth. He loves to copy his Dad and carry a “cigar” in his mouth -as you can see. ⬅️⬅️
